Dr. Farhan Khan, a seasoned chartered engineer, brings over a decade of expertise in 3D printing to the forefront of innovation. As the former Senior Manager of Applications Engineering at Xerox, he spearheaded the expansion of the company's 3D printing portfolio across the EMEA region.

Prior to his role at Xerox, Dr. Khan served as a Senior Research Engineer in Design for Additive Manufacture at the UK's National Centre for Additive Manufacturing, MTC. His responsibilities included advising prominent UK companies on the adoption of Additive Manufacturing (AM/3D Printing). Notably, he played a pivotal role in developing the AM Standard ASTM F3530 - Design guide for post-processing - PBF-LB at MTC, collaborating with esteemed organisations such as NASA.

Dr. Khan's journey in additive manufacturing extends to his tenure at the University of Derby’s Institute of Innovation in Sustainable Engineering (IISE), where he facilitated knowledge transfer and guided an aerospace company in the strategic adoption of additive manufacturing for tooling and product development.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Dr. Khan honed his skills at the world-renowned additive manufacturing groups at Loughborough University, UK (2011-2012) and The University of Nottingham, UK (2012-2015). His primary interests lie in design for polymer and metal AM.

A sought-after speaker and guest lecturer, Dr. Khan has shared his wealth of knowledge at academic and industrial events. His experience also encompasses delivering additive manufacturing training, further solidifying his position as a thought leader in the dynamic field of 3D printing.
